I am passionate about my journey as a Therapist and strongly believe in the power of connecting; one being to another. I am an authentic and direct, yet gentle and nurturing clinician who will work collaboratively with you to help you overcome your challenges.
I view therapy as a transformational process which allows us to look inward and explore the impact of past and present life circumstances, place them in a context, and develop strategies for change.
By engaging in the therapeutic process, not only do we learn healthier ways of coping, we tap into our inner ability to heal the self and develop more genuine relationships with ourselves as well as others.
My belief is that we already have the tools needed to meet our highest potential but may have forgotten how to connect to our inner source of wisdom. My goal is to help awaken the part of you that already has the answers. I am excited to partner with you on your journey.
In addition to private practice, I have worked with individuals and families via community-based agencies and inpatient treatment facilities which has allowed me opportunities to work with clients from various cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds.
I am trained in various theoretical orientations; however, in my clinical practice I primarily use Person-Centered and Cognitive-Behavioral approaches with adult and adolescent clients to address challenges related to Depression, Stress Management, Self-Care, Women’s Issues, Low Self-Worth, Couples & Relationship Discord, Adjustment Difficulties, Grief & Loss, and Parent-Child Communication Challenges.
